How to use your handheld tools under water?

Did you know our handheld pneumatic tools can be used for underwater work?

There is no special preparation required. However, just make sure to start the tool before immersing it into the water and follow the below procedure for the aftercare of your handheld tools.

I want to use my handheld tool again for normal work directly after using it under water.

Are you planning on using the machine again for ‘normal work’ directly after coming out of the water? Then follow below steps:

1) Rinse the machine externally with fresh water and let it dry
2) Run the machine until no moisture is visible from the exhaust port
3) Disconnect the airline and pour about 3 – 5 centiliters of oil directly into the air intake port of the machine. Connect the machine to the compressor and run it for a few seconds. After this, your machine is ready to get back to work

How to clean your handheld tools after using it underwater?

I will store the machine for more than a few hours after finishing working under water.

If the rock drill, breaker or hammer used for underwater work is going to be stored for more than a few hours after finishing the underwater work, the following should be carried out:

1) Rinse the machine externally with fresh water and let it dry
2) Run the machine until no moisture is visible from the exhaust port
3) Dismantle the machine
4) Let the parts dry and cover all parts with a thin layer of oil
5) Assemble the machine. Once this is done, the machine is ready to use
