Chicago Pneumatic Welcomes Scott Barker as Vice President - Business Line Manager, Q2 Appointments
Chicago Pneumatic Power Technique is pleased to welcome Scott Barker as Vice President, Business Line Manager of Chicago Pneumatic North America.
Along with Barker’s appointment, Chicago Pneumatic also welcomes Andrew Mayer as National Sales Manager, APT and Marius Cristescu as Product Marketing Manager – Air.
Barker joins the Chicago Pneumatic team with over sixteen years’ experience in Business Operations, with a special focus on in P&L oversite, multi-channel product distribution, marketing, and new product development.
Barker joined the Group in July 2013 as a Product Marketing Manager with Quincy Compressors. In May 2016 he was promoted to the position of Business Line Director.
In his nine years with Quincy, Barker coached, developed, and lead all Project Managers and Business Development Managers to implement short and long-term sales, marketing, and business development strategies. Prior, Barker worked for Ingersoll Rand for 8 years, with various positions in sales and service management.

Andrew Mayer has been appointed to National Sales Manager – APT, after 27-years as a Regional Sales Manager in the West Region of the United States. In this role, Mayer will develop sales channels with the goal of increasing market share and sales volume for American Pneumatic Tool products in the US and International Markets.
I’m happy to be given the opportunity to grow our market share across the United States and Canada," said Mayer. "I’m looking forward to expanding my connections to other businesses across North America.
For the past 27 years, Mayer has gained extensive industry knowledge and is well versed in every aspect of pneumatic construction tools and air systems, including training, aftermarket support, and tool parts.
Along with Mayer’s appointment, Chicago Pneumatic is pleased to welcome Marius Cristescu as the Product Marketing Manager – Air. In this new role, Cristescu will be responsible for all compressors sold under the Chicago Pneumatic brand.
We’re looking forward to seeing Marius’ input for the Chicago Pneumatic brand,” said Barker. “His contributions will help leverage the CP Brand through market analysis and new product innovations. We look forward to having him on the team.
Adding expertise to the team, Beth Jones internally transferred to Business Development Manager—Strategic Accounts, reporting to Scott Barker. Being a part of the Power Technique group for over 10 years, Jones is an experienced manager with an established history of working in the machinery and construction industry.
As Business Development Manager—Strategic Accounts, Jones will continue to develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of national account growth. As the liaison between national accounts and Chicago Pneumatic, Jones will continue to work closely with local and divisional product manager and business line managers to evaluate product offerings while managing a professional and product portfolio per customer.
I’m anticipating the growth of our key accounts,” said Jones. “I’m looking forward to establishing and growing our relationships for the Chicago Pneumatic brand, while delivering advanced and innovative product technology to support our customers.
With in-depth product and market knowledge, Jones will grow the Chicago Pneumatics’ support for key accounts while supporting professional and product portfolios per customers needs.
Jones has been a part of the Power Technique division for over 10 years, working in various roles, before being promoted to Business Development Manager—Strategic Accounts within the Power Technique group, where she’s developed and maintained national account growth for the last three years.
Jones worked as a Regional Sales Manager in the Eastern Texas/Southern Louisiana territory, where she worked directly with customers and dealers to sell construction equipment and aftermarket support to accounts in her region. Prior, Jones was an Account Receivables Specialist within the group.
